Japanese stylists (that I follow on instagram) features the Maybelline Blushed Palette a lot but Tati, a youtube beauty guru, said it wasn’t as good as the l’oreal palette. Also, L’oreal had the la nude palette on sale sooo I chose to grab these instead.
About the product: Inspired by makeup designers ‘Must Have’ palettes, the La Palette Nude offers everything you need to master the art of nude eyeshadow. Makeup Designer Nude looks curated exclusively for each palette with step by step instructions and live tutorials. 10 highly pigmented shades range from light to dark to flatter every skin tone in 3 shadow finishes: shimmery satin, buttery matte & lustrous sheen. Eye-designer brush & mirror for effortless application.
The la nude palette in rose heavily swatched.
First let me tell you what I like.
I like how the colors are a great mix of shimmery satins and mattes.
The dark shades are all matte with a hint of pink or purple. The brown shade (4th from the left) has a hint of pink and is very easy to pair with everything. I would like to intensify everything with the taupe shade (7th from the left) after I have laid down the base shade and the brown as a transition shade.
Also I think if you are darker than a NC30 this wont show on your skin. It barely shows on mine.
I think I would’ve liked the white to be matte too but that is just me. I know there are people who likes their eyebrow highlight shimmery.
I do want my eyeshadow to be a little bit more intense than these so I was somewhat disappointed but then I thought that since it is a nude palette, the color payoff might have been intentional.
I also didnt like that the eyeshadows do not have their individual names/ number but I guess I can live.
L’oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude in Rose 01 retails for P800.00 but I picked this up for only P600.00 because of their monthly promo.
